Vertical Seismic Profiling (VSP) & Surface Seismic Combination Exploration

From May 21st to 23rd, 2024, a successful seismic exploration operation job utilizing combination of Vertical Seismic Profiling (VSP) and surface seismic was completed in the dry hot rock project in Jiang Su Province, China. The operation deployed a total of 22 levels of downhole geophones, resulting in the acquisition of 4596 shots. These geophones were positioned at depths ranging from 2340 m to 2760 m, with a maximum temperature of 122℃.

This method represents one of the most advanced approaches in seismic data acquisition, offering a precise and dependable reference for the high-resolution and high-precision processing and interpretation of 3D seismic data. It significantly aids in obtaining a more accurate understanding of the structural characteristics and spatial distribution of the target layer within the region.
